The cotton sports air filter is installed in the air box to replace the original air filter. It is manufactured with high performance materials that allow an increased air flow to the engine compared to the original paper or sponge air filter, while guaranteeing superior filtration efficiency: thanks to the combination of the different oiled layers, the containment of all impurities is guaranteed down to a minimum of 7 microns (certified international standards for ISO5011 filtration), while OEM paper filters generally require a total filtration of particles down to a minimum of 10 microns.

The BMC cotton sports air filters are manufactured with a process called "Full Moulding" which allows the characteristic red single molding filter to be obtained without the need for gluing at the corners, resulting in easy breakage. The air filters BMC are made of a multilayer cotton fabric soaked in low viscosity oil, inserted between two aluminum mesh structures. The aluminum nets are treated with epoxy resin to protect them from oxidation caused by fuel vapors and moisture present in the air.

All BMC air filters are washable and can be regenerated using the appropriate washing kit, allowing you to save on periodic filter replacement.
